The official opening of the 2025-2026 academic year

On Monday, September 22, 2025, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamal Baddari, accompanied by the Wali of the Wilaya of Tissemsilt, Mr. Bouzaïd Fathi, and the Director of the University of Tissemsilt, Mr. Choucha Abdelghani, presided over the official opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 academic year at Ahmed Ben Yahia El wancharissi University, in the presence of: the President of the Provincial People’s Council, judicial, security, and military authorities, the deputy to the National People’s Assembly, Mr. Barbarah Cheikh, member of the National People’s Assembly, the accompanying delegation of senior ministry officials, the presidents of regional symposiums, the directors of academic institutions, the director of the University of Tissemsilt, the local delegate of the Ombudsman of the Republic, the revolutionary family, the university family, the president of the Tissemsilt constituency, the president of the Municipal People’s Council of the commune of Tissemsilt, members of the Higher Youth Council, social sector organizations and social partners, associations, unions, and student organizations, and the media family.
It should be noted that the opening ceremonies took place in person and remotely thanks to videoconferencing technology.
The program included the following elements:

✓- Recitation of verses from the Quran
✓- Listening to the national anthem
✓- Welcome speech by the university president
✓- Welcome speech by the provincial governor
✓- Speech by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and official announcement of the launch of the new academic year 2025/2026.
✓- Speech by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the occasion of the opening of the academic year.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamal Badari, accompanied by the Wali of the Wilaya of Tissemsilt, Mr. Bouzaïd Fathi, also presided over the signing ceremony for the following agreements:
– Signing of an agreement with the Medicinal Plants Research Unit (URPM) (Laghouat).
– Signing of partnership and cooperation agreements between Ahmed Ben Yahia El wancharissi University and the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research and Technological Development (ANVREDET).

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research was also honored by the governor of the province and the director of the university.

The minister, the provincial governor, and their accompanying delegation then visited the exhibitions organized at the university, including:
– the exhibition on medicinal plants by the Institute of Natural and Life Sciences;
– the exhibition by the CRAPC research unit and research center;
– exhibitions of innovative projects and miniatures by some students.
